Two rafters stuck in Rio Grande rescued by Albuquerque firefighters

A pair of rafters found themselves in a sticky situation on the Rio Grande on Sunday after their raft hit some branches and sprang a leak.

Albuquerque Fire and Rescue posted pictures of the duo clinging to a tree in the river near Eighth Street and Bridge.

An APD airboat ended up bringing them safely to shore. No injuries were reported.
