NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – A truck driver is accused of going medieval on another man.

According to the criminal complaint, 60-year-old Stephen Meyer and the victim were parked at the Flying J Truck Stop when Meyer says he asked the man several times to turn down his blaring radio. When he didn’t, police say Meyer put on a gauntlet, a medieval-style armored glove and hit the man in the face.

The man ended up with a split, bloodied lip and a loose tooth.

Meyer says he uses the gauntlet for jousting. He’s charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
