Trashed Albuquerque park closed for cleanup

News

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque Park is closed until the city can clean it up.

Right now, Lavaland Park near Coors and Central is littered with drug needles and human feces. On Thursday, KRQE News 13 cameras found it covered in trash and graffiti, and signs of the homeless living there.

The city’s Parks and Recreation Department says it will be closed for at least a month.
