Bernalillo County Metro court is hosting a Veterans’ Resource Day for all veterans on June 28.

It was originally set up for just the veterans court program which helps veterans facing misdemeanors through probation, treatment and counseling.

Judge Sandra Engel says the resource day has gotten so popular that they decided this would be the perfect opportunity to reach all Bernalillo County veterans who may need help with everything from treatment to finding a job.

“This seemed like the perfect opportunity to give back to those that have given so much for our country,” said Engel.

A record of 35 community agencies will be under one roof, serving as a one-stop shop for information and resources.

“It’s a great place to find out what resources you with bettering your life or maybe just furthering some of your interests,” said Engel.

Agencies on hand include Albuquerque Vet Center, New Mexico Workforce Connections, CNM, and Service Dogs of New Mexico just to name a few.

The Resource Day will be open to all veterans, not just those in the court program and will be Thursday, June 28 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
