ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A new era for the city of Albuquerque began Friday night as Tim Keller was sworn in as mayor.
The inauguration took place at the Convention Center downtown. Keller, a former State Senator and State Auditor, is the city’s 10th mayor since 1974 when the city changed from the Manager/Commission to a Mayor/Council form of government.
Five city councilors were also sworn in. Four were reelected, along with a new city councilor, Cynthia Borrego, who takes over the District 5 seat that Dan Lewis vacated to run for mayor.See a Historical Timeline of Albuquerque Mayors & Chairmen
