This week Albuquerque is packed with fun for everyone.
1.Gathering of Nations Pow Wow
Details: North America’s largest annual Pow Wow is back again in Albuquerque. The Gathering of Nations will feature more than 3,000 Native American dancers from around the country as well as Native art, foods and music. On Saturday night, be sure to catch the crowning of Miss Indian World.

2. Albuquerque Renaissance Faire
Details: This weekend the “lords and ladies” of Albuquerque can rejoice at the return of the Renaissance Faire. This family-friendly event will feature activities for children, adults and even furry friends can participate in a Pet Fashion contest. Local breweries will be featured at a Renaissance-themed tavern.

3. Downtown Growers’ Market
Details: The Downtown Growers’ Market is opening back up this weekend for the season. Local growers and artisans will be at Robinson park every Saturday until November selling delicious fresh produce, prepared foods, and unique art. Local bands perform every morning, and market goers can also participate in a yoga class at 9 o’ clock.

4. City of Albuquerque: Flamenco Day at the KiMo
Details: The City of Albuquerque and The National Institute of Flamenco have partnered together for an amazing Flamenco even this weekend. Children 6 years and older can enjoy learning about Flamenco, cajón and singing. Of course, there will also be stunning performances throughout the day as well.

5. Yogaritas® at El Pinto
Details: Every Sunday El Pinto Restaurant offers a unique brunch experience that includes yoga, margaritas and a pig? Yogarita guru Sydney Fontaine Forestal leads this fun class with her sidekick, Tequila Barbie, a micro pig who has been featured in Yoga Journal and on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. Yogis of all levels can enjoy this class, a margarita and $5 off brunch following the class.

6. Pop Up Arts Mixer
Details: Saturday night head down to Hotel Andaluz penthouse to shop incredibly unique clothing, jewelry and accessories from Native American designers. Celebrate fashion, art, music and culture while mingling with the artists at an open bar.

7. Exhibit: Atomic Culture / Pop Culture
Details: This exhibit presents a lighter look at the impact of the atomic discovery on our culture from music, to movies and television. Toys, board games, food and even appliances were all influenced in their design by the atomic age. A fascinating look at art imitating life.
