SANTA FE (KRQE) – A Texas company is being hit hard for dumping contaminated water in New Mexico.
The state of New Mexico has ordered Enterprise Products Operating LLC of Houston to pay $2.2 million for improperly disposing of wastewater in Santa Fe County and Lea County. Investigators say as many as 630,000 gallons of wastewater were intentionally dumped off a county road. A resident notified authorities.
A second investigation showed the company dumped about 300,000 gallons of wastewater near Loving.
