Teen suspect arrested in connection to shootings across Albuquerque

An Albuquerque teen is in jail facing an open count of murder charge.

Albuquerque Police say he’s connected to a series of shootings across the city, one of which was deadly.

This is the second arrest made in this case.

The suspect is 15-year-old Seven Long who has been arrested on a warrant for murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Police say he’s an associate of 23-year-old Matthew Delena who is also facing a murder charge.

The duo is accused in the string of shootings around town.

The first was at the Sandia Vista Apartments on August 22 where a teen was shot and caused the victim to crash his car pinning an innocent man between two vehicles.

That man was left seriously injured.

Weeks later, police say the second shooting near Washington and Lomas left a man dead.

A third shooting occurred at a Whole Foods where another man was shot and is now paralyzed.

APD says Long was arrested on his birthday.

Long could face a judge as early as Wednesday.
