Police arrested a man for breaking into a bank, but they’re not sure he was there to rob it.

According to the Taos News, police found 20-year-old Alejandro Sanchez-Alirez in the Centinel Bank around 2 a.m. after he tripped the alarm.

Officers say he ran to the second-floor balcony and sprayed them with CO2 from a fire extinguisher.

Police say Sanchez-Alirez also threw a ladder and plants at their vehicles.

When they reviewed surveillance video they saw that Sanchez-Alirez had eaten muffins left out for a meeting, but didn’t take anything else.

His motive is unclear at this time. It is also unclear how he got the injuries on his face.
