ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – An event that is not only fun, but for a good cause is happening this weekend.
Splash Away Cancer is an event to celebrate swimmers and others who have been affected by cancer.
Every dollar raised at this event will directly go to benefiting cancer research and treatment at the University of New Mexico’s (UNM) Cancer center.
Hundred, including two-time Olympic champion, Mike Bruner, will take part in this event.
Register early or arrive early at 7:30 on Saturday, March 30.
The event will be held at UNM’s Johnson Gym and begins at 8 a.m.
Swimmers of all ages and skills are not only invited, but encouraged to swim the 500 yards, one mile, or two mile.
