An Albuquerque man who prompted an hours long SWAT standoff is now behind bars.

According to a criminal complaint, 43-year-old Feliciano Franco began slashing tires at an apartment complex near Lomas and Wyoming Sunday night.

It says Franco threatened at least one person with a knife.

Police tried to arrest Franco for several hours, but say he was extremely hostile, leading to the SWAT situation.

Franco was eventually taken into custody.

He is now charged with aggravated assault and criminal damage to property.
