ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Time to count the number of Mexican Gray Wolves in the southwest.
Aerial surveys will be conducted in the next month to get an accurate count of the Mexican Gray Wolf population. Parts of Arizona and Reserve, New Mexico may notice several daily flights of a low-flying helicopter through early February.
The Wolf Reintroduction Program continues despite some challenges keeping more wolves from being released into southwestern New Mexico.
