Superintendent of Roswell Schools announces resignation

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – Roswell’s superintendent Tom Burris has resigned.

According to the Roswell Daily Record, Burris announced his resignation at a special school board meeting Thursday night.

He cited a desire to spend more time with his family and his eligibility for retirement.

Roswell High School Assistant Principal Susan Sanchez has been named acting superintendent.
