Study: Water Authority among best in national study on water loss


ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A new study shows that Albuquerque is not wasting a lot of water.

The Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Authority was ranked the best when it comes to how much water goes to waste.

The study conducted by the American Water Works Association shows the water authority wastes less than 20 gallons a day, while some cities wasted more than 150 gallons a day.

The Water Authority credits improved response to leaks, investments in water line improvements.
