Study: Household cleaners could be as harmful as a pack of cigarettes

A new study suggests daily use of most household cleaners, can be as toxic as smoking a pack of cigarettes a day, especially if you are a woman.

The study published by the American Thoracic Society, tracked more than 6,000 people over 20 years. Women in particular, who used the spay cleaners every day showed sharp declines in lung capacity and a higher risk of asthma.

Scientists suggest using products with organic ingredients.
