Study: Albuquerque has high rate of missing or murdered Native American women, girls

A new study shows New Mexico has one of the highest rates of missing or murdered Native American women and girls.

Urban Indian Health received data from 71 different locations across the nation. 

It says 78 indigenous women and girls have been reported missing or murdered in the state since 1956.

Albuquerque accounts for 37 reported cases.
