Farmers who lease land for livestock grazing can expect to spend less this year.
The New Mexico Land Office is lowering fees for agricultural leases on state trust land in 2019.
The amount is determined by private land rates, cattle prices, livestock production costs and other factors.
Land Commissioner Stephanie Garcia Richard says these leases represent a dedication to supporting the state’s agricultural roots.
