The state says a man accused of raping his acupuncture patients should have to stay behind bars until trial.
Dr. Megumi Hirayama was arrested Thursday charged with criminal sexual penetration.
Police say he was treating a patient at his office near Montgomery and Carlisle in August for problems with her foot when he used his hand to rape her.
Friday in court, the state filed a motion to hold Hirayama without bond until trial.
A district court judge will make that decision.
