It’s like the rodeo, but with a much lower risk of serious injury.
KRQE News 13 stopped by the Pee-Wee stampede Wednesday at the State Fair, where kids showed off skills like stick-horse riding and barrel racing.
No special skills are required; families are welcome to stop by and get involved.
“We were just walking by, we saw the sign, heard the lady calling out, ‘wanting cowboys.’ He said he wanted to do it, so we brought him over,” the McCutcheon family said.
The Pee-Wee stampede is open to kids ages 3-6, and runs three times a day at the Box Car Stage throughout the rest of the fair.
