SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE)— Stalking charges against New Mexico Congressional candidate David Alcon have been dismissed.
Alcon, who is running for the open Congressional seat in southern New Mexico, allegedly sent frightening messages to a woman at a Halloween party.
A warrant for his arrest was issued and he was later caught in Albuquerque.
However, the charges have been dropped because the District Attorney could not prosecute the case.
Alcon’s GPS monitor has since been removed.
Back in 2007, Alcon was given probation after being convicted of stalking another woman.
