Spill dumps hundreds of gallons of fuel into Cimarron River


EAGLE NEST, N.M. (KRQE) – State Police say as much as 1,100 gallons of diesel fuel was spilled into the Cimarron River in northern New Mexico. It happened Wednesday morning after a commercial truck slid off a road near Eagle Nest. Police say a hazmat team arrived on scene to clean-up, and investigators are still determining which communities are affected. The truck driver was cited for careless driving.
