ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Bureau of Indian Affairs fire crews will be busy Sunday morning tending to a small fire from Saturday night.

The fire started at about 6:00 p.m. Saturday night near Highway 47 and Highway 147.

Assistant Fire Management Officer Troy Cachini said that the fire was near the Bosque in that area, but a road prevented the fire from actually jumping into the Bosque. An urban development was also about 100 yards away, but Cachini said that area was not considered threatened.

12 people and one brush truck will comprise the crew that will be handling the remains of the 2 acre fire, which is currently 75% contained.

The fire is under investigation.
