As Small Business Week comes to an end, state leaders are reminding all New Mexicans to buy local.
The week-long celebration honors America’s entrepreneurs who take a risk on an idea, invest in their neighborhoods, and create jobs for others. In Albuquerque, The Kitchen By 135° started out as a small catering company.
Today, they celebrated the grand opening of their very own storefront restaurant near Second Street and Osuna. Congresswoman Deb Haaland was in attendance.
“They’re the backbone of this community. We have to support small businesses, that means that money stays locally. They’ll hire local help. They know what New Mexico and Albuquerque are all about,” said Haaland.
The Kitchen By 135° will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m.
