Emergency response teams are responding to a perceived bomb threat at Kirtland Air Force Base Thursday afternoon. An official with KAFB states that a threat was received just after 1 p.m.
Initially, all gates to the base were closed but they have all reopened with the exception of the gate at Wyoming and Gibson which remains closed to traffic. Base operations are running as normal.
KAFB gave the all-clear around 3:30 p.m. Officials are still investigating the circumstances of the threat.
