Pedestrian Struck
One person is in the hospital after being hit by a car late Friday night. APD said a car struck a pedestrian at Iliff and Coors. The intersection was closed while police investigated. The victim is at the hospital in critical condition.
No names have been released and it’s not clear if the driver will face any charges.Deadly Tanker Crash
We’re working to find out more about a deadly and fiery tanker crash. It happened just north of Roswell, in Chaves County on Friday. According to the Roswell Daily Record, the semi-tanker crashed and then went up in flames.
State police said one person was killed, but of that person hasn’t been released. The crash is under investigation.Active SWAT Situation
Police were near the 700th block of Southern SE, early Saturday morning, for what they called an active SWAT situation. APD said a wanted felon, who is violent, had barricaded himself in a home and were asking people to avoid the area.
