Santa Fe police investigating fatal pedestrian crash

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – Santa Fe police are investigating a deadly pedestrian crash.

It happened Sunday night on Cerrillos Road, west of Zafarano Drive. Police say a man who was likely selling jewelry and was walking across the street was hit and killed by a car.

The driver did stop and was tested for alcohol. Tests show he was under the legal limit. Police say the pedestrian was not using a crosswalk.

The driver is not currently facing charges, but police say the investigation is ongoing.
