Santa Fe announces ‘Trash Amnesty Day’ for residents

If you live in Santa Fe and have some trash to get rid of, this weekend is the time to do it.

The city is holding a “Trash Amnesty Day,” which means you don’t have to pay to dump it.

The Buckman Road Recycling and Transfer Station will take all trash from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The goal is to prevent illegal dumping and give residents a little help financially.

You can bring everything from trash to appliances and furniture.
