Santa Fe airport acquires new security equipment

The Santa Fe Municipal Airport is getting better security.

The TSA unveiled new screening technology Friday. The advanced imaging equipment is a body scanner similar to the ones used at the Sunport, but made for smaller airports.

The devices will screen passengers for weapons and explosives that could be hidden under clothing.

It will allow security agents to check passengers without physical contact.
