Those looking to ski at Pajarito and Sandia are going to have to wait a little longer.

Both ski areas are delaying their opening dates in hopes of receiving snow soon.

Pajarito was scheduled to open Friday and Sandia Peak to open December 22.

The forecasted El Nino storm is expected to bring winter conditions to the mountain in the upcoming weeks.

While an official opening date has yet to be announced for either location, Sandia Peak encourages skiers and snowboarders to also visit Ski Santa Fe which has the majority of their trails open.
