From pedicures to manicures, the staff at ABC Nails on Montano takes pride in their work. But on Saturday, a woman came in and shocked them all.
“She picks out her color gets the deluxe pedicure — the expensive pedicure,” said Coutney Huynh.
Huynh is the salon manager. She said the woman complained the entire time, before doing the unthinkable.
“She waits a little bit and then she up and walks out. She’s gone,” said Huynh.
The whole thing was captured on surveillance video.
“There she is, walking out…Right there,” said Huynh, pointing to the woman leaving the salon on video.
That’s when the staff went outside to confront her.
“You need to pay for your pedicure. This is a service,” said Huynh to the woman in the video.
At first, the woman said nothing.
“You walked out on your hair dresser and you walked out on us too. Yeah, good luck getting your hair and nails done anywhere else,” said Huynh to the woman.
Then, the alleged thief fired back.
“You wan to f****** get buck with me? B**** I’ll show you where I’m from,” said the woman to the salon staff.
The Blown Away Hair Salon on Coors claims she walked out on them too.
“She got a color, a highlight, a haircut and an Olaplex treatment, and that was about $190,” said Nikki Montoya, one of the salon’s co-owners.
Montoya did the woman’s hair in September and even took before and after photos, but never saw a dime. She said the woman told her she was going to get cash from an ATM.
“About two hours went by and she never came back,” said Montoya.
Montoya hopes other businesses will take notice, in hopes no one else is a victim to her crimes.
“I think she’s been getting away with it for too long and she needs to be stopped,” said Montoya.
“This is how we survive, this is how we live and it’s just not okay,” said Huynh.
The two businesses filed a joint police report on Wednesday. Police said once they identify her they can serve her with a summons for falsely obtaining services.
Between the two salons, the woman racked up more than $250 in services.
