ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Two groups are joining together for a great cause that will satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth.
Until Friday, March 20, for every Pink Pack and Pink Ribbon cookie sold a dollar will be donated to the cause.
Every dollar donated to the Pink Pack goes directly to the UNM Cancer Center.
UNM men’s basketball player, Hugh Greenwood, started this fundraiser to give back to the community and to honor his mother who is battling secondary breast cancer.
The name Pink Pack has a very special meaning to Greenwood. The pink ribbon, of course symbolizes breast cancer and the pack suggests a pack of wolves, as in the Lobo’s, the team he plays for.
Donations will support research, patient care, and public outreach at the UNM Cancer Center.
