Roswell to replace water meters with ‘smart meters’

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – The city of Roswell will soon replace about 19,000 water meters with “smart meters.”

The city said the new meters will offer more accurate customer billing and help the city better manage water resources. Customers will also have online access to their water use.

The meters will cost $18 million to install. They’re funded by bonds and utilities revenues.
