Roswell Salvation Army donating fans to those in need

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A New Mexico non-profit received a special donation to help keep citizens cool this summer. The Salvation Army of Roswell says its fan supply didn’t last long with the summer heat, so, Westlake Ace Hardware decided to step in and host a fan drive to benefit the organization.

They raised enough money to buy almost 160 new box fans to help those in need. Westlake also donated an additional 25 fans.

The Salvation Army began giving them out Wednesday morning. They say they still have about 100 fans left, and that people who want them can come by their office Thursday morning starting at 9:30.

To get a fan you just need an ID and proof of residency.
