ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The man who fled to Mexico last summer after allegedly killing his wife and four daughters has been brought back to New Mexico to face justice.

Juan David Villegas-Hernandez, 34, is accused of shooting Cynthia Villegas and their daughters, ages 3 to 14, in their Roswell home last summer. Villegas was later found in Mexico.

New Mexico’s attorney general worked on getting Villegas extradited back to New Mexico, and a judge eventually granted the request.

U.S. Marshals handed Villegas over to the Chaves County Sheriff to stand trial on five counts of first degree murder.
