Roswell hopes new app will help residents conserve water

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – The City of Roswell hopes to get a grip on water usage through a new app.

The app is called “My Water Roswell.”

Right now, customers can both pay their bill and see monthly usage on the app, but when new smart water meters are installed, residents will be able to see their water usage the second they turn on the faucet.

The city hopes it will help conserve water and alert residents if anything goes awry, such as a leak.

The meters are expected to be compete sometime next year.
