Rio Grande Zoo welcomes new Cape Vulture chick

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – There’s a new addition at the Albuquerque BioPark.

Two of the Rio Grande Zoo’s Cape Griffon Vultures recently welcomed a new chick — the pair’s second to hatch at the zoo.

The pair successfully raised their first chick in 2014, and it’s currently living at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs.

Cape Vultures were listed as endangered in 2015.
