A new smartphone app is forcing kids to reply to their parents immediately.

When a message comes in, the Reply ASAP app takes over the screen and sounds an alarm until the user responds.

Users can hit snooze but the alert will just keep coming back until it’s answered.

“From a safety perspective, if I send him a message, it will tell me where he is at the time when the message arrives on his phone,” said Nick Herbert.

Herbert is the developer of the app who says 100,000 have downloaded the program since it launched 18 months ago.

The app is currently only available for Android users.
