Renovations begin to transform ‘Holiday Bowl’ into entertainment center

News

A longtime Albuquerque bowling alley will no longer just be about bowling.

In celebration of its 60th year, Holiday Bowl on Lomas and Louisiana is under construction to become an entertainment center.

The renovated venue will feature 26 bowling lanes, along with six private lanes that are surrounded by sofa seating.

There will also be a new full-service restaurant, bar and more than 50 games for the kids.

“This is the design and thought process that we came up with that…one we could afford to do and still get everything the customer needs to have to make this a dynamite experience,” owner Gary Skidmore said.

Renovations are expected to be done by late November or early December.
