ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is the world’s largest and most impactful fundraising event to end cancer. It unites communities across the globe to celebrate people who have battled cancer, to remember loved ones lost and to take action to finish the fight once and for all.

Friday, with the support of thousands of volunteers, the American Cancer Society is helping save more than 400 lives a day. Coming up in August, you can join the fight by going to one of the Relay for Life events happening around the Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Rio Rancho areas. The event is overnight and is symbolic of one’s journey with cancer.  Everyone will come together for one night to help raise funds for groundbreaking research and free programs and services for cancer patients.

Look Good Feel Better is a program that aims to give women who are currently undergoing treatment for cancer more confidence. Many people still will go to work and do everything else as they normally would. The cosmetic kit helps camouflage the effects of chemo, helping women look good and feel better.
