Regents approve contracts for addition to UNM Hospital

The University of New Mexico can start moving forward with their plans to add on to UNM Hospital.

According to the Albuquerque Journal, regents approved more than $40 million in development contracts to proceed with plans that call for a 48-bed addition to the current hospital that would include an adult emergency facility, pre-op, and surgical suites and inpatient care rooms.

Planning is expected to take 12 to 18 months
