Prosecutors recover new evidence in Victoria Marten’s murder case

News

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Prosecutors have a computer and a smart phone that may prove Victoria Marten’s mother invited men online to have sex with her daughter.

Victoria Martens, 10, was found murdered in her mother’s west side apartment in late August.

Victoria’s mother, Michelle Martens, her boyfriend Fabian Gonzales, and Jessica Kelley are all charged with raping and killing Victoria.

Michelle Martens admitted to police that for months before the killing, she invited men online to have sex with her daughter.

Police recovered a smart phone Michelle Martens sold and a laptop Gonzales pawned in the weeks before Victoria was murdered.

Prosecutors are asking a judge for permission to search the computer and smart phone for any of those conversations, and any images of children.
