The City of Albuquerque could decide whether to boost cell service at Balloon Fiesta Park.

Verizon Wireless wants to put six small cell towers on the light poles on vendor row.

The company has offered to pay the city $18,000 a year for five years for the project.

It’s unclear what kind of advertising the company would get with the deal.

The proposal already passed a committee last week and now heads to the full city council Monday night.
