The announcement of a new program to help at-risk students in New Mexico move on to higher education is expected Thursday.

The Central New Mexico Community College along with Rio Rancho Public Schools are working with the Garza family-owned McDonald’s to offer the program.

Students who have completed the “McDonald’s Archway to Opportunity Career Online High School Program” can receive academic credit at CNM.

Officials say they hope this will create a pipeline for students to continue achieving educational success.
