ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The start of the school year is around the corner and that means it’s time for kids to get vaccinated.
Monday Governor Martinez announced the statewide program “Got Shots? Protect Tots!” The program will allow parents to have more access to vaccines for their children at more than 60 providers. In addition to some Saturday clinics, some providers will also offer vaccinations during lunch hours and after 5:00 p.m.
“We know lots of parents are working, sometimes going to school or part time jobs, so we want to make it as available and accessible to all parents depending on their schedule,” Governor Martinez said.
The program will run through August 13.
