Vote sends wholesale Drug Importation Act to governor to be signed

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – A bill that would allow the state to import wholesale prescription medications from Canada is now on the governor’s desk. Senate Bill 1 passed the House unanimously late Sunday night.

The whole goal is to lower prescription drug costs. The bill specifies that drug importation will only proceed if there are proven savings that will be passed to the consumer.
