Politics - Government

RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – The City of Rio Rancho will move forward to waive alcohol license fees for dozens of local businesses. In recognition of closures and restrictions for businesses during the pandemic, the governor waived the 2021 municipal licensing fee for the sale of alcohol.

This temporary waiver in Rio Rancho would apply to 42 businesses that currently sell alcohol, saving them hundreds of dollars.
