Legislature to discuss college tuition funding

Legislature

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – Some senators are set to discuss free tuition for New Mexico college students on Friday. The bill scheduled to be heard would provide $30 million in scholarships to students attending two-year colleges.

The Opportunity Scholarship is one of Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s priorities this session. Another part of the bill would start a pilot program that would help college dropouts finish their degree.
