Former New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez is joining former Flordia Governor Jeb Bush’s foundation for education.

The Republican is the founder and chairman for the foundation for excellence in education. He says Martinez will become a member of the Board of Directors and help push reforms in other states.

Her appointment comes as the Democratic-controlled New Mexico legislature is set to vote on reforms to the state’s public education system.

They are looking to reverse many of the policies that were set up in place during the Martinez administration.
