Bill aims to provide transportation to after-school programs

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – A bill aimed at keeping kids busy and out of trouble is scheduled to be discussed on Wednesday. Its goal is to provide transportation to and from after-school programs for low-income students.

Senate Bill 251 is asking for $150,000 from the general fund to be given to the Education Department. The proposal is set to be heard Wednesday morning in its first committee.
