Police: Suspicious package found downtown declared not dangerous


ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Police say the suspicious package discovered at the U.S. Post Office building in downtown Albuquerque is not dangerous.

The Albuquerque Police Department, FBI, Federal Protective Service and U.S. Marshals responded to the post office on 5th and Gold Ave Thursday afternoon in reference to a suspicious package.

Officials had evacuated the building and also had the roads blocked while they investigated. The area has since been cleared.

No word on what that package was.
